Project Overview
This project involved the complete design and fit-out of the Chalet Café, a boutique food and beverage outlet situated within the Tulip Bungalows resort community in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi. The core objective was to create a warm, inviting, and highly functional café space that serves as a central social hub for resort guests. The design mandate emphasized a natural, contemporary aesthetic, utilizing materials that evoke a relaxed, upscale atmosphere appropriate for the beachfront setting.
Scope of Work

Conceptual Design & Space Planning: Full interior design services, including layout optimization for customer flow, seating capacity, and kitchen efficiency.

Fit-out & Construction: Complete execution of all civil works, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations specific to F&B operation standards.

Custom Joinery & Millwork: Design and installation of all customer-facing elements, including the coffee counter, display cases, service stations, and bespoke communal seating.

Finishing Materials: Application of specialized finishes such as natural wood cladding, stone countertops for the service areas, and durable, easy-to-clean floor tiling.

Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E): Procurement and installation of all specialized kitchen equipment, seating, lighting fixtures, and decorative elements.

Atmosphere and Ambiance: Successful creation of a cozy, ‘chalet’ inspired atmosphere using warm lighting, wood accents, and comfortable, varied seating options.

Functional Service Counter: Design of an efficient, aesthetically pleasing service counter that optimizes workflow for baristas and maximizes product display visibility.

Patio and Terrace Integration: Development of an integrated outdoor seating area (terrace) that offers shaded comfort and leverages views of the surrounding resort landscape.

Boutique Detailing: Implementation of custom architectural details, such as exposed beams or feature lighting, to establish a unique and memorable brand identity for the café.
Project Outcome
The Chalet Café was successfully delivered as a fully operational, high-quality boutique F&B outlet. The finished space is an attractive, highly efficient venue that immediately became the resort’s premier casual dining and social destination, enhancing the overall guest experience at Tulip Bungalows.
